Sewing nets:
of fishing, of knowledge, and of people.

We start by taking nets out of the sea.
Now, we create networks that connect knowledge, territories, and possible futures.
What do we do?

Learn about our actions

Global Network

We are one of the Brazilian initiatives recognized by the UN for the Ocean Decade. By integrating networks like the Global Ghost Gear Initiative, we connect the knowledge of traditional Caiçara communities to the global fight for healthier oceans.

Networks across the ocean

We carry out actions to remove ghost nets from the oceans with the support of global partners, reducing marine pollution and protecting coastal ecosystems.

Impact networks

We replicate our award-winning social technology from the Banco do Brasil Foundation for new collectives on the Costa Verde: Praia do Sono, Ponta Negra (Paraty), and Aventureiro (Ilha Grande).

Partnerships

In partnership with Somos Natureza, an NGO also on Ilha Grande, we conduct environmental education, beach cleanups, and on-site recycling with Precious Plastic machines.

Ocean culture

We promote marine conservation through educational programs, innovation, and concrete actions to combat pollution in coastal ecosystems.

Traditional knowledge

Alongside fishermen, net makers, and their families, we have built pathways for empowerment, income generation, and the appreciation of traditional knowledge from those whose way of life is the sea.

About the Marulho Network ~

The Marulho Network comes as our third sector arm to expand the actions of a socio-environmental business that shows that marine pollution can only be combated together with coastal communities.

As a business, Marulho continues to fulfill this role, and together with the Network, we are expanding our impact.

Our Mission

Promote human development and marine conservation through educational programs, innovation, community leadership, and sustainability actions.

Our Vision

To be a reference in the articulation between ocean culture, socio-environmental justice, and regenerative economy, favoring resilient coastal territories recognized for their role, as well as inspiring a more conscious society.

Our Values

Passion for the oceans, respect for tradition, respect for diversity, collaboration, transparency, and commitment to sustainability.

Our projects

Discover the projects that are making a difference, sowing knowledge and harvesting a bluer future for all.
